Idaho and Washington area Hydronic Heating Services
In today’s world, everyone is concerned with finding the most energy-efficient heating method. Uponor radiant floor heating addresses concerns of comfort, cost and IEQ (indoor environmental quality). That’s because heat radiates upward from the floor surrounding people with an even, comfortable temperature — without having to increase the thermostat —and without the need for noisy fans or blowers dispersing dust and allergens.
Radiant heating works in floors, walls and ceilings, and can even melt snow and ice from driveways, walkways and sidewalks during the winter months.
- Comfortable — Consistent, even heat throughout the home
- Economical — Potentially reduces heating bills up to 40%
- Reliable — Three decades of proven performance backed by a 30-year warranty when installed by an Uponor-trained professional
Radiant Floor Heating
A warm and cozy home begins with radiant floor heating from Uponor.
With Uponor radiant floor heating, every inch of your home feels comfortable. Even bathrooms, entryways and basements are as warm and cozy as the living room — that’s because radiant floor heating offers the most even, energy-efficient temperatures throughout the entire home.
The idea is simple…
Because hot air rises to the ceiling, forced-air heating systems are significantly inefficient and provide uneven temperatures throughout a home. Uponor radiant floor heating systems circulate warm water through crosslinked polyethylene (PEX) tubing located beneath the floor — keeping the heat at your feet.
Radiant floor heating systems work with all types of flooring surfaces, including carpet, wood, tile, stone, laminate and concrete. In fact, radiant systems can even be used to melt snow and ice from driveways and walkways, eliminating the need to salt or shovel.
And because radiant systems work in “zones”, you can adjust temperatures in different areas of the home at the same time. So unoccupied rooms have a different temperature than occupied rooms — making the system even more energy-efficient.

When it comes to plumbing a home or building, builders, installers and owners agree—crosslinked polyethylene (PEX) tubing is the most durable, cost-effective and logical choice.
Flexible
PEX tubing offers the tightest bend radius of any plumbing product on the market—as little as 3½" for ½" tubing. This eliminates the need for fittings and connections with each change of direction, and fewer fittings reduce your liability for leaks and problems.
Durable
The re-pipe business has never been better with all the pinhole leaks in copper caused by harsh-water conditions. Because PEX resists the damaging effects of harsh-water conditions, it is usually the top choice for re-pipe jobs.
Reduced liability
In addition to fewer fittings for reduced liability, PEX tubing cannot be dry-fit,* eliminating concerns that a connection is made.
* When using cold-expansion ASTM F1960 fittings.
Resists freeze damage
Because PEX tubing can expand and contract, it is less susceptible to freeze damage compared to rigid copper pipe.
Sustainable
A 2008 life cycle study** showed PEX requires less energy to produce and has an overall lower carbon footprint compared to copper.
